Oh. What. Fun.

Review: I still have a few more 2025 Christmas movies to catch, but I will go ahead and confidently say that this is going to be one of the best you’ll be able to find (along with ‘The Baltimorons’). A direct to Prime release (that should’ve been release in theaters) this film follows a burnt out mom who feels under appreciated on Christmas (she actually is really under appreciated, so her feelings are valid) and decides to do what she wants for Christmas instead of what her family expects. The film has a super legit cast, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Denis Leary, Felicity Jones, Jason Schwartzman, Chloë Grace Moretz, Dominic Sessa, Eva Longoria, Danielle Brooks, Joan Chen, Havana Rose Liu, Devery Jacobs, & Maude Apatow. It was really funny, pretty heartfelt, & I’m sure it was super relatable for all the moms. This is one that after watching I deicded would be one I will revisit. Maybe not every year, but likely every few years.

High: Michelle Pfeiffer is great in this movie. But the absolute standout has got to be Dominic Sessa. Man that guy is cool. I’m going to continue to tune into everything he’s in. He was hilarious, had the absolute sauce, and led to many of the films best moments. I also quite enjoyed Jason Schwartzman.

Low: Why was Danielle Brooks in this movie? Not a knock on her, she’s great. But she had 5 minutes of nothing screen time. What a waste of a legit star.

Rating: 8/10
