Jingle Bell Heist

Review: Netflix is doing pretty decent on their cheesy Christmas films this year. I feel like I’ve said this a hundred times, but I’ll say it at least once more: This movie was really cheesy but pretty fun. It even has a little twist of being not just a Christmas romantic comedy, but a Christmas romantic crime comedy! Oooooooooo! Crime! Starring Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells as two people who meet and plan a robbery on a rude and ruthless businessman they both have personal vendettas against. And the film is a rom com. So shocker… they fall for each other. The film also features Lucy Punch and Peter Serafinowicz and has some really fun heist hi-jinx and silliness. At the end of the day. It was aight. Could’ve used a better title for sure. Like ‘The Christmas Caper’ or ‘Robbin’ Around the Christmas Tree.’ Those were straight off the dome.

High: Honestly, the plow twist did kind of shock me. Good job on that one screenwriters (Abby McDonald & Amy Reed).

Low: All of the acting was just… okay. But expecting anything beyond that would be a fault on the viewer.

Rating: 5.5/10
