Joy to the World

Review: This movie was of course pretty bad. There were some fun moments here and there. But overall it was rough. If you like Hallmark-esque movies, you can check out this new Hulu release. It follows a celebrity author and chef who has made her career of a family that doesn’t exist. When a live interview is set up for Christmas Eve, she must scramble to find a husband, kids, and parents to fill the gap or be revealed as a fraud. Watch it if you want something Christmas-y on while you wrap presents or something, but I’d highly recommend not giving it your full attention.

High: Chad Michael Murray is nice on the eyes. And his performance is not good, but it IS the least bad so cheers to him for that.

Low: The opening scene made me want to throw up. None of the performances in this movie are good, but Ayesha Curry’s is for sure the worst. Painful to watch.
