2nd Annual Showtime with Shane Award Nominations

Awards season is in full swing with the conclusion of the Golden Globes a few nights ago. So we now turn everyone’s attention to the utmost awards show in terms of popularity, prestige, esteem, and all around coolness. I am of course, speaking of the Showtime with Shane Awards. The awards themself will be awarded within the coming week via my YouTube channel and podcast, with 25 awards being awarded on YouTube, and an additional 30 minor awards being awarded on the podcast. Why so many more awards than last year? Because last year (2024) I watched 70 new films, while in 2025 I watched 163. I was originally just planning to release the nominations on the shows where the awards would be given, but I thought this would be a good way to involve the blog and give a little preview of the awards. You’ll also notice that a small handful of the bigger awards have 10 nominees, while all others have 6. This is because I am an indecisive dude. So buckle up (long article ahead) and let’s get to it!
